Things to See and Do

Located off historic 6A, also known as 'Old Kings Highway'; Michaels Cottages is within a few minutes drive to any of the seven Brewster scenic Cape Cod bay beaches, as well as the Dennis beaches just a short drive away. A short stroll from the Cottages one will find Drummer Boy Park which is home to the 18th century Higgins Farm majestic windmill. Drummer Boy is a perfect picnic venue offering a children's playground, while hosting Sunday evening band concerts and artisan and craft fairs on many weekends in season.

Our neighbors include the renowned Sydenstricker Glass Studio where one can find unique hand designed, fine quality kiln- fired glassware and the artisans can often be viewed creating their distinctive wares. Also very close by and most worthy of visiting is the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History offering collection based exhibits, including whales and birds, live marine exhibits, educational environmental programs for adults and children, nature trails and a wildflower garden.

In addition Brewster is home to a variety of fine gift shops, live theater, award winning art galleries, historical museums, classic fried seafood restaurants as well as truly special 5 star fine dining choices, all without losing the quaintness of a quintessential small seaside Cape village. Biking enthusiasts, runners and walkers covet their time on the Cape Cod Rail Trail, a  former railroad, with a number of places to easily access the trail in Brewster. A map of the Rail Trail can be viewed and downloaded on the Cape Cod Chamber website. If you choose not to bring your own bike there are a number of bike rental shops nearby. Golfers can enjoy a round at Brewster’s Captains Golf Course on either of their 2 championship par 72 courses or Blue Rock Golf Course in nearby Yarmouth https://bluerockgolfcourse.com/

While there is more than enough to keep occupied right in Brewster, Michael's Cottages is conveniently located right in the "inner elbow" of the Cape, making it easily accessible to most any of the Cape's abundant destinations and sights.
